We had a good run in 2018, and 2019 will be even better! This week, I’m sharing with you the 2019 goals that I’m making for my pups. Hopefully this will encourage you to make 2019 a better year for your fur-babies too!

When I have to work a 9-5 shift and I know I’m not going to have the energy to walk them afterwards,  I reserve them a weekly spot in daycare with our lovely client service specialists.  Exploring the different nature trails in San Antonio is also on my list to help exercise my pack.

Goal #2: Visit and support more dog-friendly shops – I want my pups to enjoy San Antonio as much as I do! By bringing them with me to dog-friendly stores, I’m exercising their minds and their bodies while exposing them to new people and scenarios.

Goal #3: Switch my pups to a higher quality food – It’s common sense that you feed your pups a higher quality food and the results will show. In 2018 we went back and forth on feeding lower quality food and they lost the shine in their coats and required me to brush their teeth more frequently. I’m doing my research and I’m looking forward to healthier pups.

Goal #4: Maintain their grooming – I’m not talking about nails and baths because I do a pretty good job of making sure my pups are not tap dancing or smelling stinky. But we do skip months on my Schnauzer and Havanese’s grooming appointments. I’m hoping that next year we can actually keep a Schnauzer cut and a Havanese cut on them versus just shaving them down every so often. Sam, I’ll be seeing you more frequently next year! 😉

Goal #5: Socializing – My pack of pups is pretty good in different environments but I do want to take it to the next level and be able to walk my Golden mix past a tree of squirrels without him wanting to climb the tree and chase them! Each of my pups has their own little quirks and I hope we can improve on them throughout next year!

2019 is going to be a great year! I look forward to sharing more blogs with you and keeping you updated on our goal progress. What are your New Year’s Resolutions?

Until next week…Well Wishes and Puppy Kisses!
