We all love mom’s homemade cookies. They’re sweet, they’re good and we know the ingredients that go in them! Just like humans, dogs enjoy a good homemade cookie from their human parents. Here are a few simple and easy recipes you can make year-round!

Peanut Butter Treats

 

If you have a peanut butter-loving pup, chances are they’ll love this recipe and you’ll enjoy baking them. 

 

Ingredients: 

  • 2 cups of flour
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • Water

 

Method: Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Mix all the ingredients together until thoroughly combined. Add enough water until it becomes wet and roll out as dough. Cut out and place in the oven for 20 minutes, and you’ll have to fan-favorite treats in no time!

 

Gingerbread Pumpkin Biscuits

 

Whether it’s summer or fall, these treats will surely make your dog sit, shake, and roll over time and time again.

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of whole wheat flour
  • ½ tsp of ground ginger
  • ½ cup of pumpkin
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp of coconut oil, melted
  • ¼ to ½ cup of water

 

Method: Preheat the oven to 275 degrees. Combine flour and ginger together. In a separate bowl, combine the pumpkin, egg, and coconut oil. Add the flour mixture and mix until there are crumbles. As you are mixing, slowly add the water in until the dough comes together. Roll out, cut, and place onto a sheet. Bake for about 2 – 2 ½ hours or until treats feel firm. Then you’re ready to put a big jack o’lantern smile on your puppy’s face all year round!

This isn’t just a great treat for the hot summer months, it’s also a way to help freshen up our furry friend’s breath! 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup of plain or Greek yogurt 
  • A small handful of fresh parsley leaves 
  • A small handful of fresh mint leaves

Method: Blend your yogurt, parsley and mint leaves together until evenly distributed. Add a splash of water. Pour mixture into an ice cube tray of your choice, preferably dog bone or paw-shaped. Freeze until solid and serve to your pup!
