Hello my name is Dakota,
I am a Canine Care Specialist at Pawderosa Ranch, my daily objectives at the ranch include making sure every dog stays healthy and sleeps on a clean-cozy bed as well as providing the love and care that each animal requires.
What is your favorite time of year?
My favorite time of the year at the ranch would be winter time! That is when you see dogs come in that aren’t your regulars. Dogs also tend to build up a thick fur coat that they lose/shed in the summer time and I love to see the doggies thicken out with their winter coats! I love to see all the different breeds, sizes and personalities each dog brings along. Finally, the cold weather outside means even more cuddles and hugs with the fur babies!
Tell me about your pets at home?
At my home I have three dogs and one cat. My beagle who is my old yeller talks to me and reminds me of my Papi who passed. My two Chihuahuas are Mister and Madam. Mister is my cuddle-kin who cries for me when I leave. Madam is my little daughter and basically my only child. (Since the beagle is my nanas and the other chichi is my moms)
My dogs are my true love. They taught me a greater sense in life.
As for my kitty, his name is Red. He is far from young! I’ve had him since I was 5 years old and he is still here with me. As he gets older the more company and love is all he wants.
What is your favorite thing about the Ranch?
My favorite thing at the ranch is … well everything! The employees and my management at Pawderosa are to die for! All of the dogs are the reason why I work there! I know they can not tell me thank you for everything I do but I can see it in their eyes and feel it in their kisses. I enjoy every moment at the ranch!
