Clooney adopted his oldest dog, a Cocker Spaniel mix named Einstein, from a California shelter. Einstein was five when Clooney adopted him – an obese stray who was due to be put down hours later. Hamm volunteers and sponsors a recue shelter in Los Angeles. It was there that he fell in love with Cora and took her home. Initially he went in with the idea of fostering her, but soon knew that he had to keep her. Hamm admits the Shepard mix has brought much light into his life and created a “sense of love and pride and all of those wonderful things.”
