 In Adoption, Breeds, celebrity dogs
Ronan’s owner: Cordell Pacheco
Ronan’s friends at the Ranch: Holly, Jake, Sheeba

Tell me about Ronan:
Ronan is a 1 year and 3 month old German Shepard. We celebrate his “birthday” on November 17th, which is his adoption day.

Where did you get Ronan from?
Ronan was adopted from Animal Care Services in San Antonio.
Ronan gets around so well on 3 legs. Was he born that way?
When Ronan was adopted had just had surgery about a week before to remove his leg. Unfortunately, his previous owners were not very nice to him and he wasn’t properly taken care of.

What is Ronan’s favorite thing to do?
Ronan absolutely can’t wait to get into the car to go for a ride. He also really enjoys socializing with other dogs and people.

Ronan’s pirate with a peg leg costume will be hard to top. Do you plan to enter the Bark in the Park costume contest again next year? Any hints as to what next year’s costume will be?
Yes, Ronan’s plans on dressing up again for the contest. Next year, we are leaning towards a zombie theme.

BARK IN THE PARK SAN ANTONIO- AT SUNKEN GARDEN THEATER
The Thomas J. Henry Bark in the Park Pet Costume Contest and Expo is happening in San Antonio on October 6, 2018! Enter your pet into the contest to win cash prizes up to $1,000! No pet? No problem! There will be plenty to do for the whole family with food trucks, vendors, music, a kid’s zone, and more! And remember – all proceeds benefit local animal shelters and rescue organizations.
Bark in the Park is a pet costume contest and expo benefiting San Antonio pet rescue organizations. Bark in the Park started in Corpus Christi, Texas in 2012 as a fun, festive event bringing together pet-owners, local pet businesses, pet rescue organizations, and no-kill pet shelters in an attempt to raise money and awareness for pet initiatives in the community.
The best part of Bark in the Park is that all of the event proceeds (including 100% of ticket sales and vendor fees) go directly to San Antonio Pets Alive (SAPA) and Animal Defense League of Texas (ADL).
