2015 Wein-O-Rama Race Rules and Overview

Number of Dogs:

[highlight align=”left, right, center” style=”different”]Limit to first 50 that register, stand by alternates allowed in case of scratches and no shows. ALSO a minimum of 12 dogs must register to conduct the event.[/highlight]


Dogs do NOT have to be registered Dachshunds but must resemble the breed (At the discretion of event officials). Dogs must be current on rabies shots & owners will need to show verification of shot record at check-in. May not exceed 12 inches in height to top of shoulder (we don’t care how long they are). Dogs must be entered by email at $25 entry fee. Entries will close by May 22nd, 2015 or when the limit is reached. Entries must include, Owners name, Dogs name, contact phone number & attached photo of your dog.


The number of dogs will be divided into equal numbered trial events if possible, example: 50 = 5 trials with 10 dogs each. Then the final race will include the winners of those trials and be the Retama Park WEIN-O-RAMA Championship. Up to 10 names at a time will be drawn from a hat (or Box) for each trial event for post position & blanket assignment. The draw will be done by Tom Harris & James Leatherman and recorded as a video special to be aired on Friday, June 5th (should be about 12 mins on Retama Park Report).
