Knead Love Bakeshop is a make-at-home dog treat company started by kids! They use 100% Natural and Organic ingredients to ensure that your pup is enjoying a healthy tasty treat. The founders, Sam (16), Ben (14), and Molly (11.5) wanted the treat making experience to be easy and fun so all you have to do is add water! We were intrigued by this and had to give it a try. Kim, the owner of Pawderosa Ranch bakes all our homemade ranch treats from scratch for the pups in our care. She was ready to test this product on how easy it was to bake at home.
We decided that our official taste testers (Foxy and Wonton) would prefer to sample the Carrot & Cheese flavor. This flavor has only 4 simple ingredients: Organic whole wheat flour, organic cheese, organic carrots and organic coconut flour. We read through the instructions after pre-heating the oven and tipped the container over to pour the dry ingredients into the piping bag.
The next step was to fill the container with water to the marked fill-line and pour it into the piping bag. Twisting the top of the bag closed, we used the piping bag to knead the ingredients for 3 minutes. After talking about how simple that whole process was, our 3-minute timer went off.
We cut off the tip of the piping bag and made little dollops of treats with the batter onto our greased baking sheet. We then placed them into the oven for 30 minutes.
A few belly rubs later, the 30 minutes were up and it was time to pull the treats out of the oven. The smell of cheese and carrots filled the air! Foxy & Wonton were ready to give us their rating…
