Ah, it’s finally Fall. In the South, that means it’s time to pull out the oversized sweaters (just be sure to take them off by noon), start stocking up on pumpkin scented candles, and ordering all your fall favorite drinks from your local coffee shop right?! My pups give me major puppy eyes since they can’t enjoy a pumpkin spice latte, and I want them to enjoy Fall flavors too! So, I searched the internet, well Pinterest, to find easy Fall themed dog treats I could make for them. They were so easy to make that I’m going to share them with you today!
Pumpkin Bites:
These treats were a lot of fun to make, and not to mention super easy! My pups ate them faster than they could taste them and that’s my cue as their fur-mama to whip up another batch!!!
Dried Sweet Potato:
This is a one ingredient recipe. Seriously, you only need sweet potatoes to make your pupper a super healthy treat that gives them a taste of Fall! I followed the instructions for this recipe, noting that the blogger does mention at the bottom to slice the sweet potatoes thicker for a “meatier” sweet potato chew. Cutting them thicker and then dehydrating overnight gave my pups a long-lasting treat that they loved!
Apple Cheddar and BACON Dog Biscuits:
You’ll need to channel your inner Food Network chef to make these since they require quite a few ingredients but they’re APPLE CHEDDAR and BACON dog biscuits: your pup will be drooling at the smell of these!
Howl-A-Ween Frozen Pumpkin Dog Treats:
It may be Fall, but we’re in Texas and it’s still HOT! Prepare these frozen pumpkin treats in advance and treat your dog on a day where Texas forgot what Fall is supposed to feel like.
Pumpkin Spice Puppuccinos:
This Pumpkin Spice Puppuccino is amazing, you can whip this up for your dog while you enjoy yours made from the local coffee shop! I love the suggestion from this blog on using this recipe to stuff a Kong.
