With that, before going on your vacation you’ll want to prepare him for lodging. Whether it’s his first time staying somewhere new or his one hundredth at his favorite place, you’ll find these tips on lodging your pup helpful! Before booking your reservation, you’ll want to contact the facility where you want your pup to stay and ask a few questions. You’ll want to confirm availability for the dates you’re looking at, ensure that the facility requires vaccinations for the pups in their care and double check that your pup’s vet records are up to date on what is required. Scheduling a tour prior to his stay allows you to meet the team that will be caring for your pup while you’re on vacation and ask any questions that will help you make the best decision for him. When you’re ready to book with the facility that best suits the needs of your pup, give them a call and send over his vaccination record and registration paperwork.
Now that your pup’s staycation is booked, you’ll want to pack his bag with the necessities. At Pawderosa Ranch, we provide your pup with everything he needs while he’s in our care. We provide him with a raised bed, cozy blankets, stainless steel water & food bowls, enriching toys, quality food, and even homemade treats! If your pup gets an upset tummy from new food, you can bring his food and treats from home. We suggest that you pre-baggie his food per meal with his name on the bag. This way you know that your pup will have enough food packed for his stay. If there’s a chance that you may be late for pick up, you can pack an extra baggie of food. Not every facility will provide your pup with an all-inclusive stay, so you’ll want to double check what they suggest for you to bring.
Your pup is going to have the best time ever on his staycation romping with both his human- and puppy-pals around the play yard! You’ll want to schedule his departure service before picking him up from lodging, so he goes home nice and clean. At the time of reservation or check-in, let the team know if you would like to add on a bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, teeth brushing or full-service groom!
