We are so lucky to live in a city that is constantly becoming more dog-friendly! If you’re wanting to take Fido on a trip to San Antonio for a dog-friendly outing, you’ll love this blog. I will share with you several of my personal favorite dog-friendly spots.
We love morning strolls at the Pearl
Adventures: Surprisingly, there are lots of adventures within the city that you can go on with your pup. I enjoy taking my pups to the Japanese Tea Garden, walking Brackenridge Park, exploring the San Antonio Missions, shopping at La Cantera or the Pearl. I also enjoy walking the San Antonio Riverwalk with my pups, but this is a highly trafficked area. If your pup doesn’t prefer large crowds, I suggest visiting the Riverwalk early morning when it will be less busy and the two of you can enjoy your morning stroll. Or, you can always check out the lesser-traveled Museum Reach and Mission Reach areas of the Riverwalk. Mission Reach is also the future location of Pawderosa #3!

Restaurants: My two absolute favorite restaurants in San Antonio, based on their food and the fact that they are dog friendly, would be Ritas on the River and Tycoon Flats!

Dog Boutiques: San Antonio has plenty of dog boutiques for you to shop with your pup! My two favorite shops are Paw Basics and Fifis & Fidos. They’re both local small businesses whose owners are full of knowledge on your pup’s nutrition.

We hope to see you and your pup out and about in San Antonio, and if you’re unsure if somewhere is dog friendly, give them a call and ask! If you’ll be visiting a non-dog friendly place bring your pup to Pawderosa Ranch for Daycare! We are open 7 days a week. We have a location in Schertz, near the San Antonio airport and our Downtown location will be opening this Fall. You wouldn’t feel the need to rush back home to let Fido out for a potty break!
