Pawderosa Ranch Facebook
In Choosing A Kennel, Dog Boarding, san antonio kennel

Hi my name is Carrie,

I joined Pawderosa a few months ago as Client Specialist. I came from the Dental world, where I spent 5 years in the Navy as a Dental Technician, after I got out of the military in ’98 I continued my career working in the Dental Field for the next 20 years. During that time I adopted my first dog, Smokey, at the age of 21 with my husband. He was my first baby for a while until we had our 2 children. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2013 at the age of 13.
Since then I have always had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs and I would adopt every animal in the shelter if I could. So a few months ago, I decided I wanted a career change but didn’t know where to begin. When I saw the ad that Pawderosa was hiring I jumped at the chance, what better place to work where I could spend time with my fury friends and not get in trouble by bringing any home (even though there are many I would love to bring home with me) I’m so grateful to Pawderosa for giving me a chance and I wake up everyday happy to go to work.
What’s your favorite time of year at the Ranch?
I’ve only been at the Ranch for a few months, so I’m not quite sure yet. I am excited about Thanksgiving and Christmas to see all the dogs who come to spend the holidays with us.

Tell me about your pets at home?
I have 4 pets at home. 3 dogs and 1 cat (who thinks he is a dog) Belle is my miniature horse she is a 10 year old Golden Shepard Mix. She is the Momma Bear of the other 2 dogs and puts them in their place when they get out of line. She is secretly also friends with the Cat. Siska is my 6 year old Rott mix, she has the typical middle child syndrome. She thinks she needs to get all the attention all the time. Ranger is my little baby, he is 5 years and a Terrier mix. His job is licking everyone, so if you don’t like kisses you won’t be a fan of Ranger. Last but not least is Thad (aka Mr Kitty/Frank) he is a 5 year old Tabby cat. He usually spends his day in hiding unless it food or treat time. His main job is keeping the dogs on their toes. Since Thad and Ranger are the same size they have become best buddies.

What’s your favorite thing about the Ranch?
I love the Pawty’s!!!! The dogs have so much fun and I love seeing the owners faces when I give them their goody
bags!!
